What is your name, age and where are you from?
Stan Chetse. I am 21 years old and from Zimbabwe.
What are you doing currently?
I work part time as a promoter, focusing on music mostly.
How did you fall in love with music?
When I was five years old, I used to see a group in my hood rapping and freestyling. The group leader used to fetch me from my house so I could join in.
When did you start producing music? And how would you describe your style?
I made my first beat at the age of 13. My music is versatile.
What inspires the music you make?
Substance derived from real life events and moments. It’s a feeling that cannot be described in words.
What was your first thought when you received the call from Rémy Martin, letting you know that you were through to the regional finals?
That everything works out in it’s own time.
How does it feel to have the opportunity to work with Riky Rick?
It is humbling to work with people who inspire you. I am very excited to absorb all the knowledge and wisdom that I can.
How do you feel about performing on 10th of August in front of a live audience?
I am nervous but excited. God started this. I want people to see Him express himself through me.
The next week is going to be a big one for you, what are you looking forward to most?
Looking forward to do what I love the most. I have been through the dark days for times like these.
